Things you should know about H1N1 flu (Swine)

Don't panic!
So far, swine flu isn't much more threatening than seasonal flu.

Wash your hands often and long and cover coughs with bend of elbow or tissue.
Flu spreads through the coughs and sneezes of people who are sick. Hands should be washed for 20-30 seconds.

Get children vaccinated for seasonal flu and vaccinated soon.
Vaccines are now available for seasonal flu.

If you become sick with flu-like symptoms, see a physician. You may be prescribed Tamiflu or Relenza. These drugs can reduce the severity of swine flu if taken soon after symptoms occur. Stay home 24 hours after you are fever free without Tylenol or Motrin.
