G.T. at Bailey is a pull-out class where students come once a week for a full day of curriculum enrichment. The main focus is on the four content areas with attention being given to higher level thinking skills. Students are given the opportunity to practice communication skills through speaking, listening, reading, writing, researching, and presenting. Students also practice fluency, flexibility, elaboration and originality which are traits of gifted individuals. In addition, students have opportunities to be involved with art and drama.  Our outdoor classrooms  provide places for hands-on learning about science and nature. We have a vegetable garden, a bird and butterfly garden and a nature trail. Students who are in g.t. class go to p.e., block, lunch and recess with their regular classes. In g.t. we believe that learning should be active and ongoing - something that doesn't stop at the end of the day or upon graduation - but a lifelong experience.
