• Juniors and seniors can be excused for two college visits per year.


• The absence must be prearranged.


• The student will be marked absent until college verification is provided.


• The absence will count as one of the ten extracurricular absences allowed per year.

                                    BEFORE THE VISIT

The following steps must be followed by the student:

• Get the prearranged absence form from Ms. Peel or download the document here.


• Have the absence form signed by one of the principals.


• Have the absence form signed by Mrs. Neilson.


• Have the absence form signed by your parent.


• Have the absence form signed by each teacher whose class you will miss.


• Return the completed form to Ms. Peel before the day you are absent.

                                    AFTER THE VISIT

Bring verification from the college to Ms. Peel within THREE SCHOOL DAYS of your return to school.  This verification should be on the college letterhead stating that you were on their campus on that day.  Without this college verification your absence will not be counted as a college visit.
