GRADING SYSTEM

Music grades are based on the following three expectations:

1.         The student is expected to come prepared for class with binder (with music folder in it) and recorder.  The teacher will do a binder and recorder check at least once every six weeks.

2.         The student is expected to participate in each activity to the best of his/her ability.  (Extra points will be awarded for participation in P.T.O. programs or other school performances.)

3.         The student will perform on recorder and other classroom instruments individually and in groups.  (Performance rating is based on student effort and NOT musical talent.)

Points will be deducted each class period if the above expectations are not met, and bonus points will be added if the student exceeds expectations.
