Teaching Philosophy:  I believe every child is fully capable of learning if given the chance. We all have our own unique learning styles.  It is my privilege to see that every student is given an opportunity to do so.  I want to create a positive learning environment that will foster creativity and encourage independence as well as teach responsibility.

Education: I graduated from East Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1978.  I then received my Masters of Education in 1981.  I received ESL training and certification in December of 2003.

Professional History: I began my teaching career in 1978  at West Lamar I. S .D., teaching kindergarten for two years.  I came to North Lamar in 1980. Through the years, I have taught Title I Reading, 2nd. grade and kindergarten. I have been the ESL District Coordinator and teacher for the past 8 years.
