Congratulations to all of the Stone Middle School Choirs for your AMAZING success at the TAMU-Commerce Contest on Friday, May 11. All 4 choirs received a "Gold" which is equivalent to a 1st division rating. In order to receive Gold, the choirs had to achieve an average of 90 points or above from their 3 judges. Here are the averages for our choirs:
Beginner Girls--94
Beginner Boys--91
7th/8th Grade Girls--94
7th/8th Grade Boys--99
Additional congratulations to the 7th/8th Grade Boys Choir for receiving the "Best in Class" trophy for the Middle School/Junior High division. Not only were they the highest score in that division, but they were the highest of the entire day of 20 choirs...including high school groups! They also beat out 2 choirs from Apollo Junior High in from Richardson ISD!
One more huge congratulations to Brock Garrison, Wes Culbertson, and Jacob Weissenmayer for being awarded Outstanding Musician honors for their trio in "Yonder Come Day."
