2010 TMEA Honor Band
2010 Texas Music Educators Association
3A State Honor Band

North Lamar High School Symphonic Band was selected based upon a performance CD submitted of their UIL Concert contest literature to be the Texas 3A State Honor Band. After earning superior ratings at the UIL concert contest, the band submitted a CD recording to advance on to Area C and be evaluated by a panel of judges.  Earning 1st place honors at Area, the band's recording was advanced onto the state level.  At the Texas Bandmasters Association summer convention, all the Area finalist were evaluated by a panel of judges.  The North Lamar Symphonic Band was selected as the most outstanding 3A concert band in the State of Texas, and was given the honor of performing at the Texas Music Educators Association convention on February 11th, 2011.  This is the highest honor a concert band can earn from UIL in the state of Texas.
