NEWS & NOTES:
Stone Receives $500 Educational Grant Stone Middle School is the recipient of a $500 grant from Kwik Chek/McCraw Oil through the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program. The EMEA Program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational alliance grants to neighborhood schools. ExxonMobil believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators to help identify schools and programs most in need of support. Kwik Chek/McCraw Oil met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded this grant, including having a recognized commitment to provide a superior buying experience for their customers. "Stone Middle School is very grateful for this contribution and appreciates the support from Kwik Chek/McCraw Oil," said Principal Kelli Stewart.
Parent Drop-Offs The official parent drop-off point is in the main school parking lot at the front of the building east of the bus lane. This area is closely monitored by staff members for safety. Parents should pull all the way forward to the northern edge of the parking lot so more cars can unload at the same time. Please do not let your child out in the middle of the front parking lot or near the street and expect them to navigate traffic safely. Also, please do not use the back parking lot beside the basketball court to drop off your child in the mornings. This area is for staff parking, and special education drop-offs only. Thank you for your cooperation. Cell Phones & the Law Remember that talking or texting on hand-held cell phones in any school zone is now prohibited by Texas state law. For the safety of everyone, please use caution when driving through our campuses.

My Coke Rewards program |
 |
 |
Stone Middle School is collecting My Coke Rewards codes found on many Coca-Cola products. Look under plastic soft drink caps with the familiar Coke bottle logo (in addition to PowerAde & Minute Maid fruit juices), inside 24-pack cases of canned drinks, on the bottom plastic wrap of Dasani water cases, and inside the tear-off corner of 12-pack refidgerator sleeves of all varieties of Coke, Sprite, Barq's Root Beer, Fresca, Seagram's Ginger Ale, Mello Yello, and many other flavors. Each code is worth points that may be redeemed for campus art programs, athletic equipment, library books, or computer technology. You can sign up by clicking on the link above. Read over the guidelines and be sure to choose "Frank Stone Middle School - Paris, TX" as your preferred school. Or if you'd like, just collect the codes/caps and turn them in at the middle school library. Thanks for your help! |

Share your photos with our Yearbook Staff! Just go to www.replayit.com and set up an account. (Must be 13 or older.) You can then upload photos of yourself doing all the cool things you do besides go to school: community events, summer sports, youth camps, birthday parties, scouting or church projects, get-togethers, cook-outs at the lake, etc. Some of them might even make it into the middle school yearbook. Any questions? Contact yearbook sponsor Michelle Loveless. |
