Student Council |
One student from every Advisory is chosen to represent that class on the Student Council. Any student may run for an officer position, with elections being held near the start of each school year. Shonda Carr is the Student Council's faculty sponsor. |

Journalism |
Students interested in newspaper or yearbook journalism must apply to be a part of these classes. Only a limited number of applications are chosen each year. Michelle Holmes Loveless is the Journalism teacher at Stone. |

PALs / Peer Assistant Leaders |
PALs provides peer mentoring for younger students who need a role model in their lives. Membership is open to 8th graders only, and candidates are selected based upon teacher recommendations. Jennifer Bryant, Kelli Stewart, and Debbie Clark are faculty sponsors. |

4-H Club |
North Lamar 4-H Club meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in room 29 on the Stone Middle School campus. Club managers are Angelia Edwards and Alice Kirby. Membership in 4-H is open to students in 3rd through 12th grades. Clover Kids is for children ages 5-8. The Lamar County Extension Service sponsors 4-H Clubs at several local school districts. Several boy and girl scout troops are active in Lamar County. Contact the local headquarters of each group for more information about their activities, meeting times, and how to join. |
