Stone Middle School's Parent/Teacher Organization meets in the library at 2:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month. Dues are $1.00 per person per year. Membership is open to any staff member, or any family member of a SMS student. The PTO provides periodic teacher appreciation luncheons, sponsors student dances, and assists with book fairs, bake sales, and other campus fund-raising events. Special thanks go out to the Michael & Nancy Novak for donating a full size refrigerator to the library for PTO use. This will allow much more food to be stored safely for future group-sponsored luncheons. Thanks also to Mark & Kim Lacey for delivering the ice box and getting it installed. Finally, thanks to all the PTO for the new chairs in the teachers' lounges and the flat screen TV for campus video conferences.
